Girl Scouts CEO pens leadership book

Cloninger Kathy Cloninger, soon-to-be-retired CEO of Girl Scouts of the USA, has chronicled lessons learned in her eight years at the group. In Tough Cookies: Leadership Lessons from 100 Years of the Girl Scouts, published this month by John Wiley & Sons, Cloninger explains how she transformed her group and sets forth those principles that have allowed the organization to survive and thrive. She also uses the book to argue that more needs to be done to tap young womens potential. All proceeds from the book will go to Girl Scouts programs.
